become one,
boundaries are lost. Dance, feel the body,
your eyes cannot see,
but your mind no longer locks. Dance, use your senses,
to the rhythm of life.

Growth
2010Green opal stone (serpentine), suitable for both inside as outdoors. Price excl. pedestal. Green symbolizes growth. The image tells the story. At the beginning there are vast waves (big emotions) that overflow the mighty rock (fortitude). The rock dimishes and slowly turns to sand. A beach is formed. The sculpture imagines the moment that a small woman takes the chance to escape from the violence. On the right side the remaining rock, on the left the waves beeching. Solid ground under her feet at last. But the story continues. Eventually an island of fertile soil is formed. At last she can harvast the fruits and enjoy the sun. An image of both hope and growth.

This sculpture is made of green opal (serpentine) and suitable for outside. Price excl. pedestal. It has 2 sides. A symbolic 'shell' on the one side. A woman on the other side. Is she hiding, or is she escaping? Anyways, at the moment she leaves her shell, she disappears. The symbolic shell, her image, the impression or memory she left, stays. I name it: Image. But many different titles are possible as well: Escape. Liberation. Transition. Remembrance.
